2013 Lakme Fashion Week saw Payal Singhal impressed with ancient Persian gardens. Using the softest shade of blush and contrasting it with blocks of black, Payal mimicked the Persian garden layout on her traditional to contemporary suits, tops, pants and saris; at times accentuating the garments with symmetrical floral patterns and golden thread embroideries.
Whether the Persian ‘Char Bagh’ layout was truly reconstructed or not, the collection is beautiful with its haunting Payal-esque quality – the softest pastels, the dreamy feminine silhouettes and lush, flowing georgettes and chiffons. We’ve always loved the designer’s palette – the powder blues, ethereal greys and delicate peaches, at times contrasted with surprising shades of yellows, teals and fuchsias.
We are pleased to say we just got a brand new selection of styles from the designer. Make sure to have a look… You might just fall in love again >
