Designer Anju Modi started off day three of India Couture week with a special and intimate preview to her elegant collection titled ‘Kashish’.
Anju Modi cited ancient civilisation of Persia as a source of inspiration for this collection. The architecture, the miniature art of the civilisation and the verses of the poet Rumi and the vast, rich and diverse culture were all sources of the designers inspiration for her collection.
The show started off with dim lights and the atmosphere of the venue was of that of a royal palace’s courtyard.
The collection showcased bridal wear such as voluminous lehengas, sarees and anarkali suits for womenswear where as menswear featured sherwanis, churidars and dhotis. The colour palette featured variety of hues such as blue, red, mint green, pink, white with gold and silver.
The accessories also added to the grandeur of the collection and emphasised on the theme of the Persian era with models wearing large earrings, necklaces and maang tikkas as well as turbans for menswear. Every outfit displayed elegance and grandeur and the beautiful models looked like kings and queens of the ancient persian era.
With brightly coloured outfits and the regal royal atmosphere, Anju Modi surely presented a perfect bridal wear collection and we look forward to this collection and more!
