The collection as Reynu states is inspired by the Mughal era and its splendour. The atmosphere of the venue looked right out of a royal mughal courtyard with live Qawwali music played by the Nizami Brothers.
The designer’s collection comprised of silhouettes such as lehengas, anarkalis, shararas, in dark hues like olive green, blue, black, shades of red all embellished in gold embroidery and the models donned on statement jewellery pieces to complete the regal looks.
From georgettes to velvets the outfits showed heavy use of zardozi and mirror work which translated the architecture of the Mughal time period.
Showstopper, Richa Chadha, looked every part of a regal Mughal bride wearing a maroon and gold lengha choli.
