A Look At The Best In Beauty In 2015

As the year comes to an end we are feeling a bit nostalgic about the things that we did over the years. And here, as we go through our earlier posts we witness the fashion and beauty trends that we covered for you. With the coming of a new year we really don’t know yet which trend will be able to match steps with the ever-evolving scene of lifestyle and fashion. So we take a quick trip down memory lane on the beauty trends that we followed over the year 2015.

Hair Trends

Side Shave- If 2014 was dominated with bobs of various kinds ’15 saw some wacky twist to it-the side shave- both with long and cropped tresses this look got popular among the boys as well!

Bohemian Waves- A carefree transformation of the prim and proper blow dried look the boho wave became quite famous from the runway to the red carpet with a free-spirited vibe of its own.

Neat Long Tails- The long tail has its elegance and ability to make any look glamorous and noteworthy. We got a feel it’s here to stay.

Twists and Braids- Be it a twisted rope braid, a classic or a messy one this year saw a braid for every occasion and style.

Buns- From sumo buns to clean corporate ones or a cornrowed bun, even a carelessly tied one-this year buns were much in vogue for complimenting any attire with a feminine charm.

Wet Look– Sleek and shiny gelled hair kept loose with a middle part or back-brushed or tied into a tight bun can make any look neat and smart.

Accessorised– When nothing works add an accessory- a real flower, a blingy clip or a chic headband and see how instantly you break the monotony.

Make Up Trends

Fine Lined Eyes- This year saw a lot of experimentation with the eyeliner from a winged stroke to neat outlines mostly keeping the lower lids bare.

Blazing Lips- A woman with a flaming hot pucker can never go out of style . This year though there were some additions to the blood red lips as orange and plum made it to the red carpets.

Brown Eyes– A cool accent added to the regular black rimmed eyes with rich chocolaty or toupe shades to make a softer and subdued statement.

Pop Art Eyes– We have seen a lot of colour in terms of eye make ups this year with strips of colours, bright satin stickers even swipes of lipstick replacing the usual kajal and eyeliner strokes.

Barely There Make Up– It is a tricky “no make up-make up look” put together by nude lips and blushes in shades of pink and peach to create a clean dewy face.

Dramatic Smoky– Smoky eyes were always a major make up staple but this year we saw a lot of drama poured into it. We are talking about the heavily smudged up-all-night look which was sported by the college girls to the red carpet regulars.

Bronze– The gorgeous glow of a sun kissed skin never fails to create a stunner out of any look. We saw this warm hue become a runway favourite in the international Fashion Weeks of Fall 2015 through designers like Eli Saab, Zac Posen.
