Cheer On The Men In Blue & Bleed Blue In Style
The Twenty20 World Cup is well underway and we are already at the big semis between India and the Windies.
Whether you’re a cricket fan or not, you suddenly find yourself more enthused about the sport, especially since our men in blue are playing like champions. Their recent nail biting matches against Bangladesh and Australia (unbelievable cricketing!) has only fueled hopes of bringing the trophy back home and we know that there are going to be a bunch of ‘match-watching’ get-togethers that are about to crop up.
And how can you cheer on the blue brigade without donning the color yourself? Here we show you how to turn up in your blues and still have your style game on point. Just remember different occasions call for different styles, even if it’s all to cheer on the team. For instance you can’t go to a fancy dinner where the match will also be screened in your jersey. You can however do just that and pair it with a cute pair of denims for a chilled get-together at a friends. Few other pointers:
- Don’t overdo it! You don’t literally want to be bleeding blue.
- Mix and match your blue separates
- Accessories are fair game! Use them to add color to your blue ensemble
- A simple India jersey can be paired with blue denims for a casual look
- Use make-up: blue eyeliner, mascara or nails. Very hot!
Scenario 1: Drinks at the bar
You’re heading out to the local watering hole to watch the match over a couple of drinks with your friends. You still want to look cute while you cheer on our squad of hero’s. Pair up a cute blue dress with a pair of flats, match with some blue eyeliner and you’re good to go! If you realllly feel like dressing it up, add on a super cute brooch like the one pictured above.
Scene 2: Get-together at home
Going out is too much of a bother so you’ve decided to meet up at a friends and watch the match. Sounds great, but that’s no excuse not to bring out the blues. Go casual with a blue pull over paired with a classic pair of blue denims. If you wanna go all out, pair it with a pair of blue kicks and voila!
Scene 3: The Dinner Do
You’re going for a dinner party/get-together which is slightly formal but the match is going to be screened and you want to show your support for our boys. Stay classy with this blue tunic paired with black cigarette pants. Throw on some heels, add on a blue clutch and that’s your fool proof look!
